I was born in 1986. I have pigeons since 1997. I love animals and nature in general since I am a young boy. That is how at the end of the year 1997, I become affiliated to the club "Union Colombophile VIRTON- ST. MARD.

Nobody  was a pigeon fancier in my family; as it can be easily understood it has not been easy for me to start in this sport. At that time, only Michel MULLER, a pigeon fancier of the region helped me. As almost every beginner, it was really difficult to start racing pigeons. By the way, I had many more bad results than good ones... In 1998, I participated for the first time to competition. I basketted a yearling, that was born in autumn 1997, on a distance of 250 km. What made the other fanciers laugh, of course ... They might have right because my pigeon only arrived a few days later. Some weeks after, I took part in my first flight with youngsters. The first two races were a real success: my pigeons won the first three in my club. And then, like many young fanciers, because of their lack of experience, I have had some problems in the organisation and management of my colony. However, my tenacity and my will to improve led me to get in touch with several famous and successful Belgian fanciers from whom I bought some pigeons and got pieces of advice to succeed.

In summer 2004, I was lucky to meet Robert MORRIER or the "Wizard of Haccourt" with whom I have stricken friendship. Since then, Robert does not hesitate to share his experience in pigeon racing and all secrets on the matter. It is so that some people have already called me the "Wizard's Apprentice".

Several years were needed to achieve what you may see on the following pages. Since the racing season 2004, I have been 4 times in the top 8 of national races. In Wallonie, only few fanciers have ever achieved such result. Furthermore, in 2004, I possessed one of the only two birds in Belgium which were able to win twice top 10 of national races.

In 2006, "Blitz" achieved in only three weeks time twice in the first 108 of international races (10th International Carcassonne, 108th International Bordeaux). What is more, I have already enlisted several pigeons in the first ten of provincial flights (f.i.: Montluçon 1,000 birds: 8 in the first 11...). You must have in mind that for such races, some people race with 20 km less, and others till 90km further.

Lastly, I would like to thank very much my parents, family and friends for all their sacrifices and help. I wish you an excellent visit.
